வேதனையும் மகிமையும், வாழ்வின் கதை

ஒவ் ஒருவர் வாழ்விலும் ஒவ் ஒரு கதை,

உயரும் பொழுதும் கதை, வீழும் பொழுதும் கதை, அன்பே! 

அங்கே இன்பம் பொங்குகிறது, இங்கே துன்பம் ஓடுகிறது,

அங்கே நிம்மதி கிடைக்கிறது, இங்கே வேதனை வலிக்கிறது, அன்பே!

யார் யாரோ, ஒவ் ஒருவருக்கும், ஒரு கதை

சில வலியை கூறும், சில சிறப்பை கூறும், அன்பே!

எவரடி பூமியில் இன்று, பயம் கொள்ளா மனிதன்? 

சிலர் அழுவார், சிலர் அழுதுகொண்டே சிரிப்பார், 

அன்பே!

வெவ் வேறு கட்டத்தில்,எம்மை திட்டி சாணமும் பூசுவார்கள்.

வெவ்வேறு கட்டத்தில், போற்றி பதக்கமும் தருவார்கள், அன்பே!

எங்களுக்கும் ஒரு காலம் வரும், ஒரு வாழ்வு வரும்,

மேலே உயர்ந்து நாம் வானத்தையும் தொடுவோம், அன்பே!

காலம் கைவிட்டால்,தொட்டது எல்லாம் வசை பாடும்,

தோல்வியின் கால் அடியில் குப்பற விழுவோம், அன்பே!

ஒவ் வொருவர் வாழ்விலும் இன்பமும் துன்பமும், அது 

ஒரு கனப் பொழுது, எம்மை ஆட்டிப் படைக்கும். 

அன்பே!

ஒவ் வொரு கதைக்கும், தொடக்கமும் முடிவும் உண்டு,

அது நேராக அல்லது வளைந்து செல்லும், அன்பே! 

உனது கதை எந்த வழி, நீ அறிவாய் 

புளிப்பும் இனிப்பும் கலந்த கலவையடி, 

அன்பே!

When we will have our times of incredible highs,

We will be in touching distance of our skies,Darling!

Each one has to feel the full range of Joy and grief

Every story has a beginning and an end,

Every story has a straight course and a bend,Darling! 

How your own story unfolds and turns out, you know best,

Your story is a mixture of sours and sweets,Darling!
