விஜய அல்லது விசயகுமாரனுக்குப் பிறகு முதலாம் சம்கதிஸ்ஸ [Samghatissa] நான்கு வருடங்கள் ஆட்சி செய்தார். அவர் லம்பகண்ண குலத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் என்று மகாவம்சம் கூறுகிறது [முதலாம் லம்பகர்ண அரசர்களுள் பதிமூன்றாமானவனான விசயகுமாரன் ஆட்சியின் போது இருந்த தலைமை அமைச்சர்களுள் முதலாமானவன் இவனாகும்.]. ஆனால் இராசவலியவில் அவர் லெமினி வம்சத்தைச் [Lemini dynasty] சேர்ந்தவர் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. மகாவம்சம் வழக்கம் போல் மூன்று லம்பக்கண்ணர்களான [Lambakanna] சம்கதிஸ்ஸ, சம்கபோதி மற்றும் கோதகபய [Samghatissa, Samghabodhi and Gothakabhaya] பற்றிய கதையுடன் வருகிறது. சம்கதிஸ்ஸவுக்கு விஷம் கொடுத்து, அதனால் அவன் இறந்தபின், சம்கபோதி இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் ஆட்சி செய்தார் என்று, மகாவம்சம் கூறுகிறது. சம்கபோதி ஒரு நீதியுள்ள அரசர், அவரைப் பற்றிய கதைகள் மகாவம்சம் மற்றும் இராசவலிய இரண்டிலும் உள்ளன. ஆனால், தீபவம்சத்தில் அத்தகைய கதைகள் ஒன்றும் இல்லை; அவர் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் ஆட்சி செய்த நல்லொழுக்கமுள்ள மன்னர் என்று அது வெறுமனே கூறுகிறது. அவருக்குப் பின் அபய மேகவன்னா (Abhaya Meghavanna / மகாவம்சத்தின்படி கோதகபய / Gothakabhaya மற்றும் இராசவலியவின் படி கோலு அப / Golu Aba) பதின்மூன்று ஆண்டுகள் ஆட்சி செய்தார்.
மன்னனின் மகன் ஜெத்ததிஸ்ஸ [Jetthatissa] வெற்றி பெற்று பத்து ஆண்டுகள் ஆட்சி செய்தான். இவன் இராசவலியவில் கலகண்டேது [Kalakandetu] ஆகும். ஜெத்ததிஸ்ஸனுக்குப் பிறகு, அவனுடைய தம்பி மகாசேனன் [Mahasena] இருபத்தேழு ஆண்டுகள் ஆட்சி செய்தான். தீபவம்சத்தின்படி, சில பிக்குகள் உண்மையானவர்கள் அல்ல என்று அவர் நினைத்தார். அதனால் அவர்களுடன் இந்த பிரச்சினைகளைப் பற்றி விவாதிக்க முயன்றதுடன், அவர் துன்மார்க்க மக்களையும் சமாளிக்க முயன்றார். மகாவம்சத்தின்படி, ஜெத்ததிஸ்ஸ ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில் பிரிவினைவாத பிக்குகள் அங்கு இருந்தனர் என்பதையும் அறிகிறோம். மேலும் சோழ நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த பிக்கு சங்கமித்ரர் மற்றும் அவனது செயல்களைப் பற்றிய ஒரு கதையும் அங்கு உள்ளது. ஆனால், இந்தக் கதை தீபவம்சத்தில் இல்லை.

'Is Mahanama, the author of the Mahavamsa, paranoid about Cholas?'
Then
Samghatissa ruled for four years. The Mahavamsa says that he belonged to the
Lambakanna clan, but the Rajavaliya says he belonged to Lemini dynasty. The
Mahavamsa, as usual comes with a tale about three Lambakannas, Samghatissa,
Samghabodhi and Gothakabhaya. Samghatissa was poisoned and Samghabodhi
succeeded him as per the Mahavamsa, and ruled for two years. Samghabodhi is a righteous king and there are
tales about him in both the Mahavamsa and the Rajavaliya. There are no such
tales in the Dipavamsa; it simply says that he is a virtuous king ruled for two
years. He was succeeded by Abhaya Meghavanna (Gothakabhaya as per the Mahavamsa
and Golu Aba as per the Rajavaliya) and ruled for thirteen years. King’s son
Jetthatissa succeeded and reigned for ten years. He is Kalakandetu in the Rajavaliya. After
Jetthatissa, his younger brother king Mahasena reigned twenty-seven years. He,
as per the Dipavamsa, thought that some Bikkhus are not genuine and tried to
discuss the issues with them. He tried to deal with the wicked people. As per
the Mahavamsa, the sectarian Bikkhus were there during the Jetthatissa’s reign.
There is a story about a Bikkhu Samghamitta from Chola country and his actions.
This story is not in the Dipavamsa. Mahanama, the author of the Mahavamsa, must
be paranoid about Cholas! He does not usually speak about Tamil Pandiya kings.
